All I can say is mahalo nui loa, UH Hilo, for helping me become what I am today. I will be forever grateful to my mentors and professors within the English and Gender & Women Studies departments. Thank you too to the faculty in these departments and elsewhere who-- in my senior year-- embraced my newfound interest in psychology and have, since then, been helping me plan for a potential master's in that field. As cliché as this may sound, I cannot express my gratitude enough. I truly feel that God guided me back home from Portland to complete my undergraduate degrees here, and I am so ineffably glad that I heeded that call.

Myself, and my cat, Miette, looking into the distance... What will we find out there?
