First and foremost, I would like to extend my sincere mahalo to my mentor, Franny Brewer, for her guidance and support throughout my journey in the TCBES program. I would also like to thank Molly, Jade, and Springer for their continuous mentorship and support over the years.
I would also like to acknowledge the Hauʻoli Mau Loa Foundation, Kamehameha Schools, the Office of Hawaiian Affairs, the Big Island Association of Nurserymen, and the Richard Smart Scholarship Fund for making it possible for me to pursue this graduate degree. I am forever grateful for your financial support.
Lastly, I would like to thank my partner, Pila, for his undying love and emotional support day in and day out. We did it!
