Mahalo to my friends and family who have helped and supported me throughout my college journey. I would not have made these accomplishments without your encouragement and support.
Special thanks to my immediate family: my parents, Sophie and Ralph Takafuji, as well as my big brother, Ross Takafuji.
Thank you to the School of Nursing Program for helping me to become the best nurse I can be.
I have met many amazing individuals and received the best advice from the many experiences of classmates, professors, instructors, and preceptors. I am grateful to have been a part of an amazing cohort and wish the best to all future nurses that are to come.
Thank you to the University of Hawaiʻi at Hilo ʻOhana for providing me with the education and resources necessary for my success. From professors who facilitated my education, to programs that provided many useful resources, I am thankful to all I have met on this journey.
Specific programs and organizations I appreciated include Upward Bound Hilo at which I was a student worker, Student Support Services Program which provided many useful resources, and HOSA - Future Health Professionals for contributing to my interest in healthcare.
