Words of encouragement I have to offer is to never give up. We may need to take a break sometimes but get back on track once you’ve recuperated. I would also recommend utilizing the resources LCC has to offer. There are so many people willing and waiting to help you succeed. The counselors and professors are approachable and will always offer help. Also, keeping in touch with your professors and letting them know when you’re struggling or have personal situations you need to deal with because they understand life happens. Good luck to the future graduates of LCC and CONGRATULATIONS to the graduates of 2023!

First and foremost; I would like to thank my Lord & Savior, Jesus Christ for giving me the strength, wisdom & knowledge to complete my credits. I wouldn’t have accomplished anything without Him & lots of prayers. Secondly, I would like to thank my husband & daughters for their understanding, patience & sacrifice while I was busy with schoolwork. Mahalo to my parents for their encouragement & financial support to earn my degree. Last but not least, thank you to my counselor for her guidance & patience while I tried to figure out my life.

The main factor in deciding to complete my credits & earn my AA degree is my children. I wanted to show them that no matter what path we choose in life and obstacles we may face, that with perseverance we can accomplish our goals. It took me a while to get to this point but I want them to see that I never quit. Even if it takes them a while, they too can achieve the goals they set for themselves. We may get tossed to and fro by the waves of life but eventually we make it to shore.
