Dolores A. Elizares - Leeward CC Commencement Celebration 2022 Graduate

Aloha mai kākou! My name is Lolly Elizares and I’ve just completed Leeward Community College’s online 5-week accelerated AA degree program. This program has been a complete blessing and I am so grateful for LCC for putting this together. Being a mom and full time employee, there would’ve been no way that I could’ve physically attended college. Finding this program has allowed me to further my education and grow as a young adult. This program has also allowed me to be a role model to my keiki and to show them firsthand that hard work pays off. I end this journey with lots of aloha for Leeward Community College and their staff, along with the staff from the different Hawaii Community Colleges. Every person I’ve encountered has left an impact on me and I am forever grateful.

Mahalo to my family for your continuous love and support throughout this journey. Lowen, Kyree, Zaylee & LJ… I couldn’t have been successful if it weren’t for you all. Mahalo for always believing in me, even if I didn’t believe in myself. Mahalo for your patience and understanding for the times my stressors showed. This journey wasn’t a solo one, and you’ve been with me since day one and I can’t thank you enough.

Congratulations to the graduates of Spring 2022! This world needs more love, aloha, guidance, honesty, empathy and encouragement, so go out there and be great! Whether you begin a new college journey or not, just know that you’ve accomplished something great that consisted of hard work and determination, so best wishes in your future endeavors!
