Emily-Jeanette T Sili - Leeward CC Commencement Celebration 2022 Graduate

I’m happy to announce that I will be continuing my education at the University of Alabama!

Graduating college while in high school is a scary feeling as it feels as thought I’ve hit a fast forward button on life but I have no regrets. Having spent this time in both high school and college I feel more prepared for the future and for growing in my education than ever before.

I do not know everything that the world has in store for me, in fact I’m moving my entire life to Alabama without ever having been to Alabama, but there is no doubt in my mind that the people I have met and the things that I have learned have only set me up for success.

I’m grateful for the things I have learned and the people I have met in which I will carry pieces of with me to all of the destinations life has in store for me.

As a graduate, I’d like to thank my family and friends for their consistent support in this journey.

To my professors who have consistently seen the best in me even in times where it seemed as though the work I was producing was my worst they were still there to push me and encourage to reach my full potential.

Thank you to my pastors who have sat along side me and never stopped encouraging me along the way.

To my peers, though many I have yet to meet in person, who have constantly pushed to strive to be better than the person I was before.

To my friends who have watched me grow over the years and never stopped believing in the random girl with the crazy ideas :)

If you learn anything from me, I hope that it is the belief that you are capable of anything you set your mind to. I believe in you, and I thank the people who have believed in me! <3
